Together

Together

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you.”

Winnie the Pooh

The Burning Store...

CCox's Bookstore, textures adapted/modified/downright changed by me.  I'm rather proud of myself, and can't wait to see how I manage the flames... =D

Anyways, this is in response to the store my SO Manages... it burned the other day.  Not as bad as this image would have you think, but bad enough that although the store was closing its doors in about 6 weeks, they ended up closing for good early.

Anyways... as a prop, this is actually a nice one to work with.  The textures were simple and easily understood as to what piece went where.  There was also very little actual redundancy in material zones, which is a major annoyance for me.  It did, however, crash and completely swallow my work whole at one point - when I was almost finished.  I took a little break, and 2 hours later, had managed to recreate my work.

Enjoy =D

01 - The Magician

So, i decided to do a tarot deck using artwork I create for each card.  I'll make each image first, and then insert it into a template I've already designed (and no doubt, will redesign a few times before its over with), and then work my magic tieing the entire lot together.

Here's the 1st... The Magician

Moving Day

Moving Day....

The big day has arrived at last, and the final boxes have been sealed.  Maddie, excited at the beginning, now is no longer sure if she wanted to leave the only home she's ever known.  Part of her is thrilled, as she will have her very own purple with pink trim room - like the inside of a cake, she declared when she saw it... but the other part is worried, as she hasn't seen her bed or her toys in days.  And now, her parents have wandered off (putting their big screen TV into the moving van, no doubt), and Maddie is left to wander around by herself...

Quietude

Slipping away on a warm sunny day, ShyBird enjoys a few moments of peace and quiet on the banks of the stream that flows near her summer hunting camp.

Kitty

For lack of a better title.... Aiko 3 decided she wanted to be a feline today =D.  She was quite upset her tail fell off somewhere - those silly detachable things.... but got distracted in the middle of searching for it.

Little Trailer: Take 2

Wasn't completely happy with the sepia version, so revisited the original "fresh outta Vue" image last night.  I decided I wanted to try my hand at that effect of a black & white photo that has been tinted in strategic locations.

While I am still not 100% satisfied, i think it looks nice =D

A Modern Twist: Little Trailer in the Shrinking Woods

One of my favorite series as a child were the books by Laura Ingalls
Wilder.  The first book is "Little House in the Big Woods", and this
is a modern twist on that beloved children's classic, and a glimpse of
the effects of modernization.
